Overactive bladder syndrome

Tensi+ : an innovative and intuitive device

Tensi+ is a non-drug and non-invasive treatment with no side effects permitting the treatment of overactive bladder of idiopathic or neurological origin.

Overactive bladder can be defined as a urinary urgency, generally associated with the manifestation of one or more of the following symptoms:

Urgenturia

The desire is irrepressible and urgent.

Pollakiuria

The desire to urinate exceeds 8 times per day.

Nycturia

The need to urinate occurs at least once per night.

Urge incontinence

It is impossible to hold it.

This simple treatment has been developed in cooperation with urologists and overactive bladder specialists. It has also been designed with patients.

The Tensi+ medical device uses the transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) technique by stimulating the posterior tibial nerve. The results of the TENS technique are clinically proven after 3 months of treatment, sometimes with the first effects after 6 weeks.

To assess whether this treatment is suitable for you, only your health professional will be able to indicate the use of the Tensi+ after having carried out the necessary assessments and examinations.

Once fitted on the inside of your ankle, Tensi+ is used for 20 minutes per day for 12 weeks or more depending on your doctor’s instructions. In the following weeks, you will continue to use Tensi+ to maintain the effects of improving your bladder control.

You can contact your urologist, gynaecologist, rehabilitation doctor, or even your general practitioner to share your symptoms.

Daily use of the Tensi+

Once fitted on the inside of your ankle, Tensi+ is used for 20 minutes per day for 12 weeks or more depending on your doctor’s instructions. In the following weeks, you will continue to use Tensi+ to maintain the effects of improving your bladder control.

What is the TENS technique adapted for overactive bladder?

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, more commonly called TENS, consists of transmitting electrical impulses close to an innervated area via electrodes positioned on the skin to act on nerve transmission. In the case of the Tensi+, this stimulation is carried out on the posterior tibial nerve on the inside of the ankle.

Do you have any questions?

I go to the toilet very often, over 8 times per day or more than once in the night, is it made for me?

If you suffer from these symptoms, Tensi+ may be a solution, consult your doctor to make an accurate diagnosis.

I rush to the toilet, and sometimes cannot hold it in, is Tensi+ made for me?

Tensi+ is suitable for the treatment of urgenturia (need to urinate difficult to prevent and abnormal in its suddenness, intensity) and urge incontinence (uncontrolled urine leaks). If you suffer from these symptoms Tensi+ may be a solution, consult your doctor to make an accurate diagnosis.

Can I use Tensi+ if I am a man?

Yes, Tensi+ is a medical device suitable for men and women.
